Do you know the greetings of the Maori?
There are two greetings which you are a friend or not. When a stranger comes, they take out their tongue and intimidate. But you don’t need run away. If you do nothing at that time, you are recognized as a brave person. When you become friends with them, you rub your nose and their nose and exchange greetings saying “Kia Ora!” This is the traditional greetings of the Maori. For the Maori, it is said that breath of the life dwells in the nose.
In addition, when they walk at the place where the Maori lives in, women walk the front and men walk the back. On the contrary, when they sit on chairs, men sit the front and women sit the back. Even more, there is a ceremony called “Calling” and they welcome singing songs.

GRAPE HARVEST FESTIVAL :) !!!

I'd like to talk about Montmartre Grape Harvest Festival.

Do you know Montmartre? Montmartre is located in France. The hill in Montmartre is a bustle in second weekend in October every year. It is held Grape Harvest Festival. There are concerts and fanfare and refreshment booths of special product thing of various places, tasting of wine and stuff. It is not only Grape Harvest Festival but also an event that it can experience the culture of the whole of France. The racket continues for three days. There were 300,000 visitors or more last year. Montmartre Grape Harvest Festival faces the 75th times in this year. It is a festival with a long history.

Halloween :) !!!

I’d like to talk about Halloween.
You know, Halloween is an event which held in October 31st. Children dress up and say “Trick or Treat!” and visit everyone’s house. Adults make sweets of pumpkins and hand out them to visiting children.
The theme of Halloween is the eerie one and is frightened including death, immortal monster and black magic. Characters which related Halloween are ghosts, witches, black cats, banshee, goblins, zombies, devils, Vampires and Frankenstein. The house is decorated with these symbols at time before and behind Halloween. Black and orange are traditional colors of Halloween. “Jack-o’-lantern” is the symbol that seems to be Halloween. It is an orange pumpkin that cut eyes, a nose and a mouth in a pumpkin, put a candle into it. However, after the 1990’s, it was not treated so much. Recently, the pretty one tends to be liked.
It mainly became known in Ireland, Britain, America, Canada, Puerto Rico, New Zealand and a part of Australia. In Japan, this event was known as an event that children in America held through the movie of the United States. However, the example of the general doing in Japan was rare before the 1980’s. These past few years, the chance that Japanese touch Halloween is increased in Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo Disney SEA and Universal Studio Japan. So the upsurge similar to Christmas is shown centering on the shop in Kanto region.

MY FAVORITE MOVIE :) !!!

I like movies!! And I have seen many movies. Today I’d like to talk about my favorite movie.

Last year, I watched “NIGHT at the MUSEUM” with my friend. This movie is wonderful comedy. I will talk about this movie’s outline. Rally, a main character, is out of a job now. And Nicky, his dearest son, is attached to the second marriage partner of former wife. At first Rally makes up his mind to get a job. Because he wants to take back the bond of the father and the son. Finally he gets the work of the guard of a museum of natural history. However in the night of the duty beginning, he who began patrol alone is amazed at it. A skeleton specimen of Tyrannosaurus which there was in the hall center disappeared suddenly! Just after that, he is run after by Tyrannosaurus moving about building. The bone of the dinosaur, the stuffed animal, the doll and the diorama of past great men, the moai and mummy… When it is night, the store things that are full of such variety begin to move all at once. Rally studies the history hard and grasps their characters and their weak points. And he brings them who are strong of the personality round, but they create an unexpected great event!

I like this movie. This movie tells us about importance of the imagination and the mutual understanding and study of the history, the various world unlike the appearance, not to give up. It is the good movie which dream and a lot of messages were at a loss for. If you don’t watch this movie “NIGHT at the MUSEUM”, you had better watch it!

SUMMER VACATION:)!!!

I enjoyed this summer vacation. I had two summer camp. One of them was hold in August. It’s joint festival committee’s camp! We went to Sugadaira in Nagano. It had many rehearsal of planning. Because we hope that joint festival success, so we tried hard to prepare. Other was hold in September. It’s English summer camp! We went to Nemu-no-Sato in Mie. We studied English a lot including tongue twisters. And we played many games including throwing water in balloons, playing a short skit. In the evening, Monsters appeared! We scared and shouted! But the true forms of monsters were teachers! We really surprised and it was very funny. I had a very good time. In this two summer camp, I made many friends and I created many good memories. So I want to go to summer camp again!

And I had part-time job. The café where I work opened in August. And I worked as a opening staff. I worked very hard! I was tired of part-time job. But everyone was kind of me and I want to earn my money. So I don’t give up!

SUNDAY:)

On Sunday, I was very busy!
In the morning, I washed my car. It was very dirty because of rain, so it takes 2 hours to wash my car.
In the afternoon, I went to my alma mater. My friends asked me to go to club activities, and I wanted to see everyone. So I went there. I was a member of volleyball club as a coach's assistant. It was hot on the day and I was boiling! But I had a good time, because I saw club members after a long time and enjoy valleyball games.
In the evening, we ate out with my friends. We enjoyed talking and eating.
I spent fantastic Sunday! And I want to go to my alma mater again.

I’ll tell you about “Pilates method.” It is an exercise which was developed by Joseph Pilates, a German war male nurse, in 1920’s. As of 2005 there are 11 million people who practice the discipline regularly and 14,000 instructors in the United States. Originally it was a fitness program for rehabilitation of the injury soldier of The World WarⅠ. Joseph Pilates called his method Contrology, because he believed his method uses the mind to control the muscles. The program focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep body balanced and which are essential to providing support for the spine. In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and aim to strengthen the deep torso muscles.

The laughter has a good influence for our body. When you watch the smile of the person, do not you soften your heart? When you laughed good and hard, do not you feel fine at a feeling? I think the laughter is the best gift to the human being from god. The laughter lets a person relieve. Furthermore, our feeling calms down, too. In addition, it is said that there is an effect in “the activation of the brain” to laugh. We can do abdominal respiration naturally by laughing. Oxygen is gone around in a brain by it, and it leads to the activation of the brain.
